Accessibility statement
Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to use this site, including people who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, magnify the page, or control it by voice. Accessibility is part of how we build here, not a layer added at the end.
The accessibility options button in the corner of every page lets you change the text size, raise the contrast, reduce motion, or underline links. Those are extras on top of the baseline. The site is meant to work without them.
The standard we aim for
We aim for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA on every page of auralithlabs.dev. We don’t claim the site is perfect. We can say what we’ve done, and we keep doing it.
How we test
Every page is scanned with axe-core at a desktop width and a phone width, with each menu, dialog, and panel open as well as closed, and with each of the reading preferences turned on. We measure color contrast directly rather than trusting the scan alone, because parts of this site sit on a drawn background that automated tools can’t see through.
We also walk every page with a keyboard and nothing else, checking that focus is always visible, that it moves in the order you’d expect, and that every menu and dialog closes with Escape and returns you to where you were. We check that pages still work at 200% zoom and on a screen 320 pixels wide.
We test with VoiceOver on macOS and iOS.
We keep these checks as a script so they run the same way each time the site changes.
Known limitations
We haven’t found anything open at the time of this review. If something on the site doesn’t work for you, we’d like to hear about it, and we’ll treat it as something to fix rather than something to explain.
Third-party content
Some things on this site come from services we don’t control. Booking a scoping call opens Calendly’s scheduling tool, checkout in the shop runs through Stripe, and the links in the footer go to LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. Those pages may not meet the same standard. If any of them gets in your way, contact us directly and we’ll handle the booking or the purchase with you ourselves.
How to reach us
Email hello@auralithlabs.dev and tell us what happened, which page you were on, and what you were using at the time, such as a screen reader or a particular browser. We reply within two business days. If you’d rather have any information on this site in another format, such as plain text or large print, ask and we’ll send it.
